This is an ambitious project aimed at reaching the people of Birmingham, Britain’s second city during 2022 with the message that faith and science work together thus challenging the prevailing conflict narrative.
The project will be delivered by ChaplaincyPlus of Birmingham and led by Executive Director Steve Bavington and Professor Hugh Rollinson, former course director at the Faraday Institute for Science and Religion in Cambridge, together with at least 7 other church leaders and supported by the Bishop of Birmingham.
ChaplaincyPlus is a non-denominational Christian charitable trust formed in 2003, run for the Birmingham business community, with a deep love for the city of Birmingham, located in the heart of the city and has a strong track record of working with partner churches and Christian organisations to deliver high quality events.
The project is part-funded by a grant from the Scientists in Congregations scheme at the University of Durham.
As a lead up to our event programme, we held a launch event for Churches and Christian Organisations to learn more about the upcoming events. You can catch the event here.
